As you can see pushing your thumbs was is really worth (-: I'm double happy about my win at the hal in Landgraaf. At first my personal triumpf over Bozzetto. During the semifinals I was able to study his technique from the ski-lift and knew, how fast he'd been today again.
For the runs against him I changed my line and tought to myself that when Bozz is so fast by leaving a distance of about one meter from the goal, I could try the same, but only leaving half a meter distance! This strategy had been really successfully. The last two runs had been the best of the day!
Thanks for pushing your thumbs, Benny
Hi people!
Yesterdey we again arrived in the Netherlands, where as every year our first race of the season takes place. Driving the car in germany isn't still what it used to be sometime, I can tell! 18 buildings lots and poor ten minutes where 200 km/h are allowed in nine hours of travelling.
But back to the important things in life. Very special and ambitious the hall here in Landgraaf greeted us. We had soft snow on the surface, but with icy patches underneath! So at the training we drove in "pans" with hard underground. But untill tomorrow there's going to be a tough slope and I'm really thrilled about it already.
One thing: I'm not going to make it that suspensful concerning my entrance into the finals. 10 runs are really enough (-: With joy nothing can happen any more.
Please push your thumbs tomorrow really strong again, the season is opened!
Nice Greetings, Ben
Hy Friends!
I hope you had a good sommer untill now. My next "appointment" will be on July the 18th, when I take part at the "Salzkammergut Trophy". "Pain has a name" will again be the motto, which is prooved, because we will have to go 124 miles and 7000 meters difference in elevation by bike. I am preparing myself since the end of the season. Because of this I set myself off from Wilhelmsburg, my "home", to Lienz, where my girlfriend already waits =). With me I've got 4 of my friends.
Day 1
1980 meters difference in elevation, 127 miles, 7h
Departure time was at 8 in the morning. We had the blue sky and enjoyable temperatures, but in the Gesäuse we got into the rain, which followed us untill Liezen. In the end we reached our intermediate goal, calles Schladming.
Tomorrow comes our Tourhighlight, the Großglockner, of which we are very thrilled already (-:
We hope for good wheater =)
Best greetings, Benny
To finish this season correctly I got Austrian Master on Saturday in Parallel GS! The race took place in upper Austria on the Kasberg. We had got 20 degree Celsius in the dale and sunny 10 degrees on the mountain. But because of the warm temperatures, I more thought of taking a biketour than snowboarding, but there were so many friends and colleagues, which I usually don't meet during winter that bringing up enthusiasm wasn't a real problem.
Right, now into the bikeseason...I'm really thrilled!
Nice Greetings, Ben
Today we've got every reason to party. At the last race of this season everything was open so most of the titles got assigned today. Sigi Grabner took over the Overall-Worldcup from Markus Schairer and to top it all the Parallel-Worldcup. As the second one I was allowed to take a seat. Even though I had to pass four races caused of my injury, I eked out this phenomenal result. Also the ladies did a very great job - my teamkollege Doris Günther cought the Overall-Worldcup, but Amelie Kober snapped her away the Parallel-Worldcup.
We also won the Nationcup with an outstanding score. So it came that also our trainers were allowed to stand on the podium. Special thanks to Felix, Bernd, Wörni, Hias and Gertsch, you were great (((-:
The race today won once more Jasey Jay Anderson. I got the second one and Sigi Grabner got the third one.
I finish my season this year with 3 Worldcupwins, the World-Champion title, two second places and as my worst rank I made a pretty good 6th place!!!
All things to be pround of and to start with a peace of conscience into the summer.
To all you thumbholdes, friends and fans: I thank you all for your great encouragement! Without you all the wins would only be half worth.
Thanks a lot and keep on riding, Benni
Hi Friends (-:
At temperatures reminding me on summer I was able to make the 2nd place today. Only the World Champion in the PGS, Jasey Jay Anderson, bet me. The really cliffy piste was in a fabulous condition, what made boarding really enjoyable (-: I'm really happy of my repeated success and now I can start catching the sunlight. Rank 3 made my already known opponent, team-colleague and friends Andi Prommegger.
Muchas gracias for pushing your thumbs Amigos ((-:

Folks, pushing your thumbs works really fine! Also in the Worldcup here in this quiet place called Sunday River in the USA I was able to win the race, yeaahh!
Detailed report: The pist was middle-cliffy in the beginning, then more flat untill the finish, 27 goals times 10 = tired, but overhappy. After the Quailification I was on the 5th position. I had to change my line from Stoneham a bit, because here it was important keeping speed and carving exactly. My firth opponent was Simon Schoch, whom I was able to beat only for 0.08sec in the first turn. But I did it in the second run pretty confident. Next lap, for the 100th time repeated duel against my teamkollege Andi Prommegger! A really hot fight, which I plumped for me - sorry Andi! The next opponent, the World Champion in PGS, Jasey Jay Anderson! But also him I was able to beat in the really intreresting duel (-:! In the big final I met once more Sigi Grbaner, whom I bet in a very hard fight (1st run -0.25, 2nd run -0.10) once again. The joy is huge and the jorney to oversea was worth the while!
Thanks a lot for your amazing "thumb-work", you are awesome!
Nice Greetings, Benny
Pushing your thumbs was worth the while today! I was able to win the race in Stoneham today. But not only me, also my peers from the Austrian Team Sigi Grabner and Andi Prommegger "scored a strike" and made place 2 and 3. So we made the canadian Worldcup an Austrian Championship with foreign attendance ((-:. I'm overhappy of winning and proud, of driving in such a strong team like we are. Simply brilliant.
Tomorrow we drive along to the USA by car were we are having our last race oversea in Sunday River (MAINE).
Thanks for pushing your thumbs, Ben!
Since the 11th febuary we are in Vancouver now, 15 minutes away from the city Cypress Hill on the exact same mountain were the Olympic games in the PGS takes place. Unfortunately the race had to be canceled, because we sinked in untill the knees in soft snow today. Two days before the Boardercross took place on the same slope and the small hills which got pushes together made this course nearly undrivable. In addition it got very warm.
Our nect stop is in Stoneham bei Quebec, where we probably catch this race up and have two races there then.
My dear friends!
Now I'm richer in being a Worldchampion and having some really great parties with family and friends, but I have to say that the world keeps spinning. Already on Saturday, the 31th of January, there's the next race at Sudelfeld (Bavaria, Germany) from the "Worldcup-Circus" and there's still the challenge for all of winning the globe this year. At the moment I am appearing as 17th in the WC standings, but my second big gole, winning the overall-worldcup this year again, I'm not loosing out of sight.
After a pause of nine days from crossing your fingers it's now on top again to mobilise again all your energy. What's concerning me: I'll have to keep myself as the fastest boarder ((-:
Nice greetings from the beautiful Bavaria, Benny
I'm the one, I'm the one, the Worldchampion (-: An undescribeable feeling, which I will carry with me for a long time!
There's nothing more to say today.
Thanks very very much to all of you who kept their fingers crossed.
Greetings, the Worldchampion (-:
Tiredly and exhausted but happy I look on my first WC-participation back today. It was an unusually hard race and at the conclusion only the strongest ones survieved! Among those I was not allowed to rank myself today with my 4th place. The injury left it's traces and I had to realize that I'm not on top of the hill physicly by now.But that was my single handycap, because I didn't felt my injury once! ((-:
Tomorrow we continue with the PSL and after a decent massage of our guy Matthias I will give a 110% tomorrow!
Please keep four fingers thightly crossed, even if it hurts already,
Nice Greetings, Benny
Hi Friends,
Two days of training I've successfully passed in Korea now. Everythings according to plan. The pain in my foot is limited to a minimum and I've got a great feeling on my board, too! Today it snowed about 5cm and the slope was challenging - altouth I was able to drive very good runs.
I'm really excited about the PGS on Tueaday and after 3 month of race-pause I'm fully motivated for the following races.
Keep your fingers crossed thightly then everything will be alright =)!
Nice Greetings from Korea, Benny
Hi Friends,
Since a few days the WM-Riders are fixed. I am allowed to take part on the PSL and PGS races on the 20th and the 21st in Korea. The doctors gave me green light, everything looks alright. The healing of the anklebone which I've broke myself five weeks ago is really good, but still not finished. Today there was the practical test in Schladming (Styria). My first training on snown since five long weeks. Overhappy about my own little wonder in my lugage I could quit my training after eight runs.
Now there's nothing which can avoid my flight to Korea and winning the WC (-:
By the way: On the 20th and 21st January at 4 o' clock LIVE on the ORF!
Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed, cu Benny!
I wish you contemplative days and a nice gathering with your families.
Thanks to all of you, which believed in me and who crossed their fingers.
Probably I will already get on the board this year to see how the healing improved. Of course I will keep you up to date.
Keep your fingers further crossed,
Benji!
Great, today is the 11th day after the accident and I can tell you that the results are remarkable. I'm still in best mood, my "cast" ist away finally and I can do my first hurtless steps with 100% burden. But still I will have to keep my crutches and ankle prothesis.
However, the WC is reachable already and I think it is possible to take part at the race.
Root further for me, Benji
A happy HELLO!
from Thalgau (AUT), where I'm training at the moment and hopefully get back to the races as fast as possible. I already had two days of training and the results are visible already! My swelling at the foot is away nearly and everything get's better day per day.
My goal, taking part at the WC in four weeks, comes closer and I am full of confidence.
Keep your fingers further crossed and send me energy =)!
Thx, greetings from Salzburg!
Hi People and Peoples =)
I just got out of the hospital - fortunately there's no need of an operation, but I will have to wait about six to eight months to be regenerated. But as I know myself good enought, it will take me less time and I'll be ready in January in Korea already to celebrate the World Championship which I had won!
However, the next four races I will have to follow from home!
Keep your fingers crossed for me, love Benji
I've got bad news for you!
At the weekend (2008/12/07) I had an accident when I went jogging. I probably have to give the next few races a pass. I broke myself a bone in the leg. There's going to be a computed tomographie now and then we will see if there's going to be an operation or if a cast is enough!
I don't know more by now but I keep you updated when there's news!
Greez,
Ben
